Guided hike with Betty | Natural spectacle Löckenmoos - high moor

The meeting point is the sports field in Gosau, from where we take the "Gosauer Bummelzug / Almtaxi" to the grinding stone quarries in about 1 hour. During the leisurely ascent, guests are given interesting details about the history of Gosau.

The hike starts at the quarry huts and leads us over easy forest terrain to the Deckenhochmoor - the Löckensee. We continue to the "Grubalmen" and the "Wildfrauenloch" karst cave. The hike ends at the famous Gosau whetstone quarry, where whetstones were mined as early as the 15th century.

After the hike, we stop for a bite to eat. We fortify ourselves with a delicious snack or local pastries. At the end, we take the slow train back to the Gosau Valley.
