Hippoldspitze & Eiskarsee mountain tour

Take a cab from Lanersbach to the Vallruckalm (2,132 m), a rustic alpine pasture at the back of this beautiful valley basin. From here, a narrow hiking trail branches off and leads us directly to the Hippoldanger, where we can already admire the Eiskarsee from afar. We hike on to the Hippoldspitze (2,642 m) and enjoy the snack we have brought with us with a wonderful panorama of the Zillertal and Tux Alps. We then make our way to the Eiskarsee lake, where traces of winter can often still be seen well into early summer. We make our way back via the flower-filled Nederjoch and the Nasse Tux-Alm before stopping for refreshments at the Geiselhöfe. The cab will take us back to Lanersbach from there.

Character: challenging, difficult hike (700 m ascent, 1,200 m descent)

Duration: approx. 7 hours, 5.5 hours of pure walking time

Meeting point: 6.30 am Tux-Center in Lanersbach

Cost contribution: Adults € 15.00 (free for guests of nature park partner businesses) excl. cab € 25.00 to the Vallruckalm and back from the Geiselhöfe
