A varied hike with a special destination: Freibergsee—Germany’s highest swimming lake, surrounded by a fantastic panorama of the Allgäu Alps. Katrin will guide you around the lake and show you the most beautiful views. The hike begins along sunny meadow paths to the lower Renksteg. From there, a slightly steeper trail leads up to the northeastern edge of the lake. Walk a short distance along the shore, enjoying the view of the mountains and the ski jump—and then head back to Oberstdorf via Schwand and the Heini Klopfer Ski Jump.
