Alessandro Villalva & Sofía Torres Durán

On October 23, pianist Alessandro Villalva and cellist Sofía Torres Durán will be performing at the Hotel Klosterhof. In the special, intimate atmosphere of the library, these two young, internationally acclaimed musicians will present a multifaceted chamber concert featuring works by Saint-Saëns, Nin, Cassadó, Mussorgsky, and Rachmaninoff. An evening that combines virtuosic skill with great expressiveness and musical intensity.

Alessandro Villalva | Piano

Alessandro Villalva studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Pietro De Maria and Jacques Rouvier. He is a multiple international prize winner, including at the Rachmaninoff Competition in Frankfurt and the ArtePiano International Competition. In 2023, he was the only Italian admitted to the 17th Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

Sofía Torres Durán | Cello

Sofía Torres Durán also studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg under Matthias Bartolomey. She made her solo debut during Mozart Week with the Mozarteum Academic Symphony Orchestra; she has also performed with the Salzburg Philharmonic.
