TURN THROUGH THE FORMER
CARTHUSIAN MONASTERY OF ALLERENGELBERG in Karthaus
From 1326 to 1782, the Carthusian monastery of Allerengelberg was located in Karthaus. It was abandoned under Emperor Joseph II, but the spirit of the monks lives on in the cloisters. During the tour of the monastery, participants will be shown art-historical and architectural features and introduced to the way the Carthusian monks lived and worked.
