Helpful facts

It is a long hike, but not one with any particular difficulties. The hike starts at the mountain station of the Gitsch cable car at 2,058 m above sea level. From there, take the trail marked 21, which takes you to the Ochsenboden and on to the Weißenalm, which lies at 2,177 m above sea level. There you take the trail with the marking no. 6, which leads you up to the two lakes to the summit of the Seefeldspitze at 2,715 m above sea level. After a well-deserved rest, you take the same way back to the Seefeldalm. There, however, you then take trail no. 15, which takes you to Seefeldsee and the Wieserhütte or the neighbouring Pranterstadelhütte. Then you hike out of the valley through the Altfasstal valley to the large car park or you can hire a bike from the huts and cycle the remaining eight kilometres to Meransen.
