Mild Summer Evenings with Musical Entertainment

The music is playing in Schenna! Every Wednesday evening from late May through early September, Schenna hosts “Summer Evenings” featuring live music from contemporary and traditional bands and musicians. Shops stay open until 9:30 p.m., and food stands and cafés provide visitors to the promenade with food and drinks. This fills the balmy summer evenings with music and a zest for life. In addition, the best bands from the surrounding area perform regularly at Raiffeisenplatz in Schenna.

Bands in Schenna and the Merano Region

In the Merano Region, bands are central institutions of village life. They have taken it upon themselves to preserve music and traditions and, together with the music schools, have long ensured the musical education of young musicians. It is therefore not surprising that some of these bands have reached a remarkable level of skill today. During their performances, they play not only folk music but also jazz and classical music, depending on the program and repertoire.
