Lower Inn River European Nature Reserve

The Bavarian-Austrian Lower Inn River European Nature Reserve stretches across the border from the mouth of the Salzach to the mouth of the Rott and consists of huge expanses of water, mud banks, islands and alluvial forests.

A visit to the Lower Inn European Nature Reserve is particularly spectacular during the autumn and spring weeks. This is when tens of thousands of birds can be observed from the viewing platforms on their way south or back to their breeding grounds further north.
