Route:

We take the hotel bus to our starting point in Tschars in the Vinschgau Valley. First we walk up through the small village, then along the Tschars Waalweg to Juval Castle, where we take a long break. The castle, which is the summer residence of Reinhold Messner and at the same time the Messner Mountain Museum, is perched on a hill at the entrance to the Schnals Valley. Then we descend a little steeper towards Staben and soon reach the Stabener Waalweg, which takes us back to Tschars.
