Via Dante Alighieri, 56, Merano
The Tappeinerweg is probably the most famous path in Merano.
It was built by the physician, botanist and anthropologist Dr. Franz Tappeiner, who came from Laas in the Vinschgau Valley.
The path is one of the most beautiful high-altitude promenades in Europe and offers the irresistible mix of alpine and Mediterranean vegetation for which Merano is so popular.
This is topped off with a magnificent panoramic view, which is why it is also called "The Crown of Merano" or even "The gallery of the paradisiacal scenery of the Burgraviate".
Therefore, you should not miss to take a walk, or better, to "promenade" along this path. The view and the flora that this path offers you is really hard to beat.
