Insights into the eternal ice
The icy journey begins just 200 m from the highest point on the Hintertux Glacier. From the viewing plateau on the Gefrorene Wand (3,250 m) with one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Zillertal mountains, a safe path leads to the gates of the palace.
After a thorough check of the equipment (helmet, harness with 2 safety loops), the path runs by handrail through the entire system, which was created without the influence of human hands. The entrance hall, clad in mystical glacier blue, is the first stop on the tour. The variety of the turquoise-blue play of colors offers an immersion for the eye alone, because only shades of blue are reflected by the ice.
