Am Waldweg 105a, Achenkirch
Join us on a hike to the spectacularly situated Dalfazalm in the Rofan Mountains and enjoy what is arguably the most beautiful panoramic view—as if from an eagle’s nest—stretching far across Lake Achensee and the Karwendel Mountains.
We’ll start our tour with a short drive to Maurach. Right at the start of the ascent, the first highlight awaits us: the roaring Dalfazer Waterfall, which we’ll reach after about 35 minutes. From there, the trail leads us further up to the Dalfazalm at 1,693 m. The path is steep in places but technically easy to navigate, and it rewards us almost the entire way with a fantastic view of the “Tyrolean Sea.” Once at the top, the rustic alpine hut invites us to take a well-deserved break amidst the alpine scenery.
What to bring: Sturdy footwear (hiking boots), weatherproof clothing, sun and rain protection, a water bottle, and cash for refreshments.
Prerequisites: Good basic fitness for the occasionally steep ascent and sure-footedness.
Key details: approx. 5 hours walking time | Difficulty: moderate | Elevation gain: approx. 750 m
