Guided hike: Three lakes hike

From the boat landing stage in Velden, you walk through the village with its

villas from the Wörthersee architecture era to the Franzosenkirche

where the trail begins through the Roman gorge to the Forstsee lake. Through

beautiful mixed forest, the route leads to the "Hohes

Kreuz" viewpoint. Here we enjoy a magnificent view over Velden, the

Wörthersee lake to the Karawanken and Julian Alps. We continue

to the Forstsee lake, which is ideal for swimming in the summer months.

Passing the Kleinsee lake, we return to

Velden through the Römerschlucht gorge.

The difference in altitude is approx. 250 m, the pure walking time

approx. 2.5 hours.

Meeting point: 10:00 am | Velden boat landing stage (opposite the Schlosshotel)

Duration: approx. 3 hours in total

Equipment: hiking boots, rain protection, tour provisions and drink

Registration: No registration required but please bring your Wörthersee Pluscard with you. You can get this at the hotel reception.
