Alpbach via Bischofer Joch to Holzalm

Start in the village center of Alpbach, turn left past the church to the Hotel Böglerhof and then immediately turn left. Now a beautiful path, partly across meadows, leads uphill to the Hausberg farms.

At the chapel, turn left onto path no. A6 and hike towards the Bischoferalm. When you reach the alpine pasture area, follow the signs for "Hauseralm/Holzalm". Two hairpin bends further on you will reach the new "Almausschank Bischofer Käsalm". After a rest, the hike continues to the Bischofer Joch.

From the Joch, follow the signs for "Holzalm" and hike slightly uphill along a forest road to the Holzalm mountain inn.
