World famous: Eltz Castle

Tucked away in the middle of the Elzbach Valley forests sits one of the most famous castles in the world: Eltz Castle. In the past, its image adorned our 500 Mark bill, today it is one of the most photographed motifs and Instagram darling of the travel blogger scene.

The castle can be visited daily between April and November. But you need a day ticket and should expect waiting time. Better be there before 10am or after 4pm on popular days.

From our Mosel Chalets you can reach the parking lot in about 20 minutes by car or via the beautiful Mosel bike path in about 40-60 minutes.

Around the castle Eltz you will find the most beautiful hiking trails and a dreamlike scenery.
