The Südtirol Guest Pass must be validated at the start of each journey! Validation is done by scanning the QR code from the blue validation devices. An "OK" on the display and an acoustic signal confirm successful validation. The Guest Pass should not be held too close to the validation device.

For train journeys, the validation must take place before boarding at the station. For rail journeys with a change of train, validation only takes place at the start of the journey
