Between the villages of Pomerania and Karden, about 180 m high above the Moselle chalets, lies the famous Martberg. In ancient times, a religious and political center was located here for many centuries. In Roman times, a Gallo-Roman temple district of supra-regional importance developed. Large parts of this temple complex were rebuilt on the ancient foundation walls and together they convey a vivid impression of the life and beliefs of the Celts and Romans.
The hosts of the Mosel Chalets Gaby and Andi offer exclusively and only for guests of the Mosel Chalets private guided tours. The small proceeds will be donated to the Förderverein Martberg.
You can reach the temples via the Lenus Mars hiking trail in 45-60 minutes walking from the Mosel Chalets. Optionally, a shuttle service can also be offered.
