We hike from the hotel first along the "Pitze" to Plangeroß, where the trail to the Rüsselsheimer Hut begins. After a leisurely start, the path becomes somewhat steeper until you cross the Kitzlesbach shortly before the halfway point. After that, the trail leads over serpentines up to the hut at 2323m.

The specialty of the Rüsselsheimer is ibex meat, which you can enjoy either as carpaccio or as goulash with red cabbage and dumplings. But there are also delicious vegan dishes!

The descent is via the same path back to the hotel.
