Neuschwanstein Concerts 2026

From 1970 to 2015, the Neuschwanstein Concerts thrilled audiences once a year with musical masterpieces in the magnificent Singers' Hall at Neuschwanstein Castle, which King Ludwig II once created for his favorite composer Richard Wagner. For many decades, the classical concert series was a musical highlight in Bavaria's cultural calendar for classical music lovers from near and far. The so-called "Castle Concerts" were organized by the district of Ostallgäu and the municipality of Schwangau. Extensive restoration work and pandemic-related closures then forced the Neuschwanstein Concerts into a long slumber, and both organizers said goodbye and let them rest forever.

The unique setting of the Neuschwanstein castle courtyard will once again become an open-air stage

for five extraordinary classical music open-air concerts from August 2024.

The program was specially designed for this location and makes the Allgäu a venue for artists from Germany and abroad. The new festival transforms the inner courtyard of the world-famous landmark into a meeting place with special artistic and atmospheric experiences.
