About the Brettlesweg near Steingaden

The charming "Brettlesweg", as it is called by the locals, lies between Steingaden and the Wieskirche and promises an exciting combination of nature and culture. On the one hand, famous sights such as the Wieskirche or the Welfenmünster can be admired. On the other hand, the Brettlesweg through the idyllic Wiesfilz offers a unique nature experience with forest, high moor and species-rich fauna. From Schwangau you drive over Buching to Trauchgau on the B17 further to Steingaden. Before the local beginning of Steingaden you turn right in the opposite direction into the small local part Hiebler. There you can park your car comfortably at a farm for a small fee and walk from there along the advertised path to the Wieskirche. In doing so, you cross the high moor via the so-called "Brettlespfad". Attention: the Brettlesweg is only suitable for an excursion when it has not rained!
