The Eggentaler Dorfkuchl brings traditional, almost forgotten Eggental dishes back to the plate and reinterprets some of them.
Farmers and chefs from the Eggental Valley cook recipes that used to be taken for granted and are hardly to be found today. With their knowledge and passion, the farmers' wives of Welschnofen, Deutschnofen and Steinegg revive the culinary tradition of the Eggental Valley. The taste experience is complemented by creative chefs who interpret selected dishes in a modern way and refine them with new accents - including Thobias Pardeller from the Franzin Alm, Reinhard Daverda from the Hotel Pfösl, Philip Lochman from the Hotel Engel and Gregor Eschgfäller from the Gourmet Restaurant Astra.
The ingredients for the dishes come 99% from the Val d'Ega. Everything is also local when it comes to drinks: from homemade juices from the farmers' wives, to beer from the two breweries Latemar Bier and Nöppbräu, to wine from the Pitzner and Gojer wineries.
Eat your way through our various gourmet stations on the Welschnofen festival square. The young brass band "Karerbrass" will provide atmospheric music.
A culinary event of a special kind: diverse, authentic and always with a clear commitment to its origins.
