Details
South Tyrol is a land that is rich in traditions and still places particular emphasis on the word culture. The South Tyroleans are proud of their customs and feel closely connected to them even after centuries.
Probably the most distinctive feature is their own dialect, which sometimes varies from place to place, making it even more difficult for foreigners to understand. But there are not only differences in the language, also some traditions differ more or less from each other depending on the region. The reason for this is not least external influences, from which the remote side valleys were spared for a long time and the inhabitants could therefore preserve their way of life more than in the main valleys.
The South Tyroleans have their very own culture, which is closely linked to numerous traditions and customs. These may vary from valley to valley, but one thing remains the same: they are proudly maintained and passed on from generation to generation.
