Pfarrach - Hike

The meadows below the Ampferstein, the Saile and the Jochkreuz have long been used by shepherds to let their cattle graze there. Unmistakable signs of their presence are the shepherds' path, it leads from the Telfer district Plöven to the Pfarrachalm, and the natural site Marchraste, which was discovered by them. Even today, the surrounding area is still popular grassland for sheep and cows. No other place in the immediate vicinity would be more suitable as a resting place after the long ascents.
