In the realm of owls and owls

Five of the seven owl species (Strigiformes) recorded in South Tyrol live in the wild in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park - only a few people know about this peculiarity, which sets our nature park apart from other Italian and especially Alpine protected areas. Children love owls and owls as wise advisors in fairy tales, while naturalists value them as indicators of the health of the ecosystem. They are not usually easy to spot, but here the opportunity is there!
