Stanzer Zwetschke enjoyment route - schnapps culture in its purest form

A sheltered, sunny location, the dry and warm climate, careful irrigation, and the hard work of the locals have turned Stanz into a plum paradise. This is where the famous “Stanzer Zwetschke” plum grows, which has made the village Austria’s first distilling village.

The hike begins with a bus ride from the Landeck train station to Grins at 12:00 p.m. The route leads through the village of Grins to the sports field and continues along the forest trail to Wasseralp toward Stanz. There, you’ll visit one of the many distilleries, which invite you to a schnapps tasting. The group will then take the bus back to Landeck at 5:00 p.m.
