Hike to the Oberberg Alm

South Tyrol is an alpine paradise, and the Gsieser Valley is renowned for its large number of managed huts, all of which can be reached via great hiking trails that lead through a wide variety of forests.

Today we follow lush meadow paths and winding forest trails up to the Pidig Valley. We pass the Messner Hut and the Kradorfer Alm while following the Gsieser river up to our destination, the Oberberg Alm (1.975m). After a break and a rest on this enchanting alpine meadow, we walk back to Hotel Quelle.

Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours

approx. 600 metres altitude difference

Level of difficulty: moderate to difficult hike
