Round hike Edelhütte over the Alpenrose to Mayrhofen

We take the hotel bus to Mayrhofen and take Austria's largest gondola to the Ahornbahn mountain station from Mayrhofen to the Hahnpfalz (1960 m).

Ascent: After getting off the Ahornbahn gondola, we follow a wide path over the plateau-like Filzenboden to a saddle with a gate and then into the small bay of the Filzenkarl. With a slight intermediate descent across the green slopes below the Filzenkogel and gradually ascending again into the more extensive Föllenbergkar, where a striking left turn is made up to the Edelhütte (2238 m). Walk back to Mayrhofen via the Alpenrosenhütte.
