The Haus der Natur in Salzburg is much more than just a natural history museum. It combines a variety of exhibitions with an aquarium, a reptile and amphibian zoo and an interactive science center, delighting visitors of all ages.
The many exhibitions at Haus der Natur are spread over eight levels in two buildings. The main building houses the classic natural history themes and the zoo section. In the Science Center, which is connected by a glass staircase, everything revolves around research and experimentation. You should plan around three hours to visit the museum.
With a total of 64 aquariums and terrariums, the Haus der Natur offers a unique experience. Immerse yourself in the impressive underwater world and be enchanted by the inhabitants of the aquariums, which range from graceful to bizarre. The reptile and amphibian zoo shows snakes, lizards, turtles and crocodiles in near-natural habitats.

The aim of the Haus der Natur is to awaken and pass on a fascination for nature. In addition to the exhibitions, guided tours, science shows, workshops and excursions are regularly offered - for nature and technology enthusiasts of all ages.
