The New Year is fast approaching, and it’s time once again for a Zillertal tradition—our New Year’s Eve Train is once again traveling through the snow-covered Zillertal. This time with special honorary train conductors: The Fetzign from the Zillertal are on board!

Celebrate the end of 2026 with us in a special way—on the Zillertalbahn’s New Year’s Eve steam train!

Our New Year’s Eve steam train, a stately sight, will run on December 31, 2026, with a musical welcome at our stations.

Let the Fetzign and our friendly staff on the steam train get you in the festive spirit.

Celebrate in the barrel car—the steam train’s trademark—or in the – crystal car, and enjoy the wintry Zillertal New Year’s Eve landscape from the buffet car, designed as the “Zillertaler Alpenstube.”

Mighty clouds of steam envelop the atmosphere of our steam train, and as the grand finale, treat yourself to a glass of sparkling wine to ring out the year
