The Stadtgalerie im Lebzelterhaus Vöcklabruck is one of the most important galleries in Upper Austria and has been bringing national and international artists to Vöcklabruck since 1976.
The exhibitions take place every month (excluding the summer break). The arc of the most famous artists who have exhibited in the Stadtgalerie in recent years ranges from Vöcklabruck artists (Herbert Aichinger, Prof. Oskar Czerwenka, Robert Schuster, Hannes Rohringer, Michael Zitzler, .....) to national greats (Maria Moser and Heinz Göbel, Prof. Hans Fronius, Prof. Fritz Fröhlich, Prof. Elfriede Ott, Samlung Essl, Johann Jascha, Prof. Lisl Engels, Anton Raidel, Helmut Hundstorfer, Christine and Alois Bauer, Gertie Fröhlich and Filmmuseum Wien, cartoonist Gerhard Haderer, cartoonist Harald Rolf Sattler, Barbara Höller, Elfriede Forte, Therese Eisenmann, Franz Josef Altenburg, ...) to international artists, for example from the twin town Cesky Krumlov (Krumau) ( Prof. Ladislav Maria Wagner, Ludek Stukbauer ).
The artistic director of the gallery from 1979-2012 was the former cultural adviser Mag. Hansjörg Eiblmayr. He was succeeded by the new team with the artists Manfred Pohn and Peter or Lore Lacher and Alexander Schmid from the cultural department of the city of Vöcklabruck.
