Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron
Today, Mozart's birthplace is one of the most visited museums in Austria and an absolute highlight, especially for Mozart fans. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 in the "Hagenauer Haus" at Getreidegasse 9 in Salzburg. For 26 years, from 1747 onwards, the family lived in an apartment on the third floor. Mozart spent his childhood and youth here with his parents Leopold and Anna Maria and his sister "Nannerl". In 1773, the family moved into the Mozart Residence on Makartplatz. Constantly being expanded, the museum, which is open all year round, is a must for every visitor to Salzburg!
The museum takes you on a one-hour tour of the original living
quarters. Stroll through a reconstructed bourgeois apartment. Discover everyday objects and furniture from the 18th century and feel transported back to Mozart's time!
The all-inclusive Salzburg Card offers free admission to many sights and museums and free use of public transport. Mozart's birthplace is also included in the Salzburg Card. Our reception team will be happy to help you with any questions about the Salzburg Card.
