Meeting point is the sports field in Gosau, from where we take the "Gosauer Bummelzug / Almtaxi" in about 1h to the Schleifstein quarries. During the comfortable ascent, interesting details of the Gosau history will be brought closer to the guests.

The hike starts at the quarry huts and leads us over easy forest terrain to the ceiling high moor - the Löckensee. We continue to the "Grubalmen" and the karst cave "Wildfrauenloch". The hike ends at the famous Gosau grinding stone quarry, where they already mined grinding stones in the 15th century.
After the hike we will stop for a leisurely break. We strengthen ourselves with a delicious snack or local pastries. Finally, we take the slow train back to the Gosau valley.
This hike is also part of the initiative of the natural spectacle of Upper Austria - www.naturschauspiel.at.
