Barbiano plum weeks in September

August 30 - September 14, 2025

The Barbian plum has been an important part of Barbiano's cultivation culture since the late Middle Ages.

This is why the "village with the leaning tower" dedicates two weeks in September to the delicious blue fruit.

The restaurants in Barbiano will spoil you with dishes based on Barbiano plums and you can buy special products such as plum bread, jam, plum strudel and much more in the stores.

The gourmet weeks will open on Saturday, August 30 with the 12th Barbiano Plum Mile. From 13:00 to 18:00, you can enjoy the delights along the village street of Barbiano: aromatic delicacies, lively music, children's entertainment and various Barbiano "stallholders" provide plenty of entertainment.

During the Plum Weeks, guided plum excursions also take place in Barbiano: On September 3 and 10, you will learn all sorts of interesting facts about Barbiano's plum delicacy on the plum trail and enjoy great plum dishes at a stop.

The Barbiano plum can also be experienced individually on the plum hiking trail.
