Heikes Kerzenstübl Oberwiesenthal

A very special highlight awaits holidaymakers of all ages right next to the Rathaushotels: candle making at Heikes Kerzenstübl.

Children can get active here and make their own candle. With a long wick, they dip step by step into colorful, warm wax. After each dip, they have to wait 50-60 seconds until the wax cools down - then they go back into the wax bath. This requires a little patience, but is rewarded at the end: a self-made, colorful candle that goes home as a very personal vacation souvenir. The children are free to choose their favorite colors, making each candle truly unique.

Candle making is not dependent on the weather and is perfect for both summer and winter - ideal as a program item on rainy days or as a relaxing change of pace after an active day of hiking. The Kerzenstübl is located directly at Markt 14, just a few steps away from the Rathaushotels.
