Kufstein is a town in the state of Tyrol in western Austria. The medieval fortress of Kufstein, which can be reached by funicular railway or a steep footpath, offers views of the Lower Inn Valley and the Alps. It also houses a local history museum and the Heldenorgel, a large open-air organ. Römerhofgasse is one of several narrow streets lined with traditional Tyrolean houses. Other attractions include the Riedel Glassworks, which has been in the family since 1756.
