Winter/snowshoe hike through the Niger Forest

Experience a magical circular hike on the snow-covered plateau between Tiers and Welschnofen, where glistening blankets of snow and majestic mountain panoramas allow you to experience the winter tranquillity of South Tyrol in all its glory.

Tour description:

After taking the Tiers cable car, we start our hike at the Frommeralm. We hike past the Niger Pass and take trail no. 1 towards the Schillerhof. Before we reach it, we turn off to the Hagner Alm and hike on to the Jocherhof. After a lunch break, we return to the starting point via the Niger Valley.

Walking time: approx. 5 hours

Ascent: approx. 400 m

Descent: approx. 400 m

Difficulty: Technically easy hike, good basic fitness required

Refreshments available: Jocherhof

Snowshoes, Grödel poles, hiking poles and rucksacks can be hired at reception

Eventual lift costs are not included

You are welcome to order a packed lunch at breakfast (for a fee)

Please always take a bus ticket with you (available free of charge at reception)

The tour also takes place when there is little snow, without snowshoes
