Mount Paterno Via Ferrata
We reach Rifugio Auronzo (2,330m) with the guide's bus.
From there, the 50-minute walk to the ferrata start. On the way you can already enjoy the beautiful view of the UNESCO Dolomites landscape. On the via ferrata, the mountain guide will be happy to give advice and tips - the ferrata is perfectly suitable even for beginners.
On reaching the summit (2,745 m), you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama and a unique view of the north faces of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. After a break at the summit, on the descent you pass through long tunnels dating back to World War I, when part of the front passed right through the middle of the Dolomites.
At Rifugio Locatelli the via ferrata adventure ends and you walk back to the starting point.

- Difficulty B/C (easy), confidence of pitch and absence of vertigo required
- Duration approx. 5-6 hours, of which 2-3 hours via ferrata
- Height difference 800m, of which 300m via ferrata
