Live Music - Woodpickers on the Soulfood Terrace

The Woodpickers are an acoustic duo from Croatia, named Siny (because his real name Siniša is hard to pronounce for someone who doesn't speak Croatian) and Teo.

They both play wooden instruments (acoustic guitars) with a technique called "fingerpicking", hence the name Woodpickers instead of Woodpeckers.

Their playing style is to rework newer songs as if they were recorded in the old days, in the musical era of blues, jazz and ragtime..., along with timeless classics from that time. What would Sting or Phil Collins sound like if they had been born 20 years earlier, or Norah Jones if James Taylor had accompanied her on guitar.

Then there are reworkings of Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits and many, many others...

Her style is easy, relaxed and gentle, but can still be dynamic and very emotional...
