Fojedöra high alp

A special spot in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park is the high alpine pasture Fojedöra. This is an ancient alpine pasture in the middle of the fascinating mountain world of the Braies Dolomites and is managed by five young people who are united by their love of the mountain, the animals and the old traditions. Cows, goats, sheep, horses and donkeys graze here at over 2100m. The five alpine dairymen look after these animals together, process the fresh milk into butter and cheese and run the small bar of the alpine hut. Here you can enjoy tasty alpine food, fresh wood-fired bread and a glass of milk and who knows ... if you are lucky, the dairymaid will surprise you with a beautiful yodel!
