Museums in Bormio

Bormio and Alta Valtellina, can boast a millenary history and culture, visible in every corner and in every glimpse but also inside several museums. Ethnography, art, nature, history... nothing is left to chance, with special attention to children and young people in order to continue to pass on the history and traditions in the future. In Bormio, the Civic Museum has a rich historical, artistic and ethnographic collection where important artistic works are mixed with everyday objects. Very interesting is also the section dedicated to war finds, to ancient skis and to the means of transport of the past, from carriages to sledges. A must for nature lovers is the Mineralogical Naturalistic Museum in Bormio, where you can admire a rich collection of precious stones and minerals and a naturalistic section focused on the nature and animals of the Stelvio National Park. In the summer season, the "Rezia" Alpine Botanical Garden is particularly interesting, with a large part of the Park's rich flora (over 1,400 species) as well as species from the Apennines and from European and non-European mountain groups.
