On the trail of the beaver and water explorer*

We visit the oldest beaver territory in Salzburg and go in search of traces. Gnawed trees and branches, dammed sections of stream and trails through the dense riparian vegetation are clear signs of the presence of beaver families. We use the mobile microscope to investigate the aquatic animals in the stream. The easy family hike runs along still waters and near-natural watercourses to a spring.

Duration: approx. 3 h Children from 4 years recommended, 3.4 km

Equipment: long trousers, snack for children, rubber boots if available, small towel, sun protection (in case of strong heat we will start later)
