FRANCONIAN OPEN-AIR MUSEUM MUSEUM FOR RURAL BUILDING, LIVING AND FARMING On the museum grounds there are about 20 rural farmsteads and village buildings from the Haßberge, the Spessart, the Grabfeld and the Rhön. Among other things, visitors can explore a church and an old village school as well as marvel at historical brewing, freezing and milling technology. Refreshments are available in the museum inn "Zum Schwarzen Adler" with its large beer garden and in the Rhön farm shop, where regional products are available directly from the producer. A special feature is the museum train, the Rhön-Zügle. The old steam locomotive with its historic carriages runs on selected days of the year in the idyllic scattered valley between Mellrichstadt and Fladungen. Exciting seminars Numerous offers invite you to join in. Participants of the courses and seminars can practice basket weaving, discover wild herbs or learn how to bake bread. The current programme of events and course dates are available from the Rhön Park Active Team!
