Hike to the little church of St. Ägidius and to the Jörgenkirchl

We take the hotel bus to Kortsch, where we take a leisurely walk along the beautiful Zaalwaal to the St. Egidius church. Old mills with water wheels line the path and once we reach the little church we can enjoy the wonderful view over Silandro/Schlanders. Now the path climbs steeply. The ascent has an alpine character in some places and surefootedness is required. The 350 meters of altitude difference are tough, but as the Jörgenkirchl is a good place to stop halfway up and we take it easy, the climb is manageable for anyone in good physical condition. We finally return to the starting point of our hike via the Rossladumsteig.
