Possibilities to get to the Fichtelberg plateau from the hotel:
1) With the city bus A. The bus stop is directly opposite the hotel. The bus takes you from the Oberwiesenthal market to the Fichtelberg plateau in 10 minutes. Departure: 09:42 | 11:45 | 13:37 | 14:55 | 16:55 (ticket: approx. €2.90 per person, purchase on the bus)
2) On foot: From the hotel (914 m) to the Fichtelberg plateau (1,215 m) it is around 4 km and 300 m in altitude. Depending on your fitness level, it takes around 60 minutes on foot.
3) By cable car or chairlift to the Fichtelberg plateau. The entrance to the cable car is approx. 600m from the hotel. A mountain ride costs approx. 12 € per person.
The adventure trail is free of charge and starts on the Fichtelberg plateau.

Short tour description:
The adventure trail on the Fichtelberg is a highlight for families in the spa town of Oberwiesenthal. It connects the mountain peak at an altitude of 1,215 m with the town center and offers a fun way to master the descent.It is an interactive themed trail specially designed for children. Along the trail there is play equipment, question-and-answer boards about the nature and history of the region as well as hands-on stations about the mining history of the Ore Mountains. You can purchase a wooden marble to playfully accompany the children along the way and, with the specially created app, a radio play adventure on the Fichtelberg.
The marbles and a treasure map can be purchased at the top and bottom stations of the Fichtelberg suspension railroad. Finally, a large adventure playground with a special slide through the earth awaits in the valley - the perfect end to an eventful family day in O'THAL.
