Pliniana Spring Walk

The Pliniana Spring Walk is the essence of walking in search of tranquility and well-being. The hike, which is easy and almost completely free of elevation changes, is suitable for everyone and is also walkable with a stroller. The entire trail is located within the area called: Baths Park.

Following the signs for the "Fonte Pliniana," a convenient path runs along the northern wall of the Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi. From the first steps, the path is immersed in a spectacular larch grove with verdant undergrowth.

Along the path are a thermal waterfall and a viewpoint. Both points are located just before our destination: the Pliniana spring, one of 9 springs within the Baths Park. The spring of thermal water, protected by an artificial cave built in the early 1900s, is loaded with anti-inflammatory properties and is particularly suitable for internal cures. It is suggested to drink it in moderation.

Upon reaching the spring, the trail is followed back to the starting point.

Along the way it is possible to walk side by side. There are numerous benches along the way on which I suggest pausing to observe the colors, sounds and scents of the underbrush; especially on a day of light rain. The walk is passable all year round.

From autumn to late spring it is often possible to meet one of the great protected animals of the Stelvio National Park on the trail: the ibex.

Enjoy your walk!
