Winter/snowshoe hike through the Carezza hiking area

Discover the winter wonderland of the Carezza ski resort on a snowshoe hike beneath the impressive rock faces of the Rosengarten—a winter experience that will enchant you.

Tour description:

After taking the Tiers cable car up the mountain, we’ll ride the local bus to the Kaiserstein stop, where we’ll begin our hike. The first part of the hike takes us downhill to the Moseralm and then uphill across the Kölblegg-Frinwiesen to the Kuregg, below the Kölner Hütte at 2,000 m. After a short descent, we reach the Messnerjoch alpine hut, where we’ll stop for lunch. The subsequent descent takes us back to the Tierser cable car.

Walking time: approx. 4 hours

Ascent: approx. 500 m

Descent: approx. 500 m

Difficulty: Moderately difficult hike; good basic fitness required

Place to stop for refreshments: Messnerjoch

Snowshoes, crampons, hiking poles, and backpacks can be rented at the front desk

Any cable car fees are not included

You’re welcome to order a packed lunch at breakfast (for a fee)
