For connoisseurs and lovers of artisan baked goods, an interesting and entertaining guided tour takes place daily in the historic, fully functional water mill in Schmilka, which has been lovingly restored by hand.

Using water power, organic grain is ground into coarse flour between the two sandstones in the historic grinding mill dating back to 1665.

Get an insight into the historical production processes and the functioning with all its facets of the top-shafted water mill. Experience with all your senses how organically grown grain is turned into stone-ground flour with technical finesse. The best thing to do is to taste the oven-warm products from the wood-fired bakery next door!
