FIL-1 Classic Bear Safari - Wildlife watching in Sweden. Observe bears and other wild animals in the wild

This is a very special experience. You can observe bears and other wild animals from a hiding place in the wilderness. Get up close and personal and observe animals in the wild that are otherwise hard to see.

Filip not only has Sweden's highest statistics when it comes to bear watching, but he is also Sweden's first and oldest organizer of bear watching since 2002. The bear watching takes place in a protected photo hide. The photo hide is set up so that you can stay there for a long time. From the hide you can observe an area where bears are present every day.

You will meet our bear experts Filip & Malin outside Edsbyn. From there, they will take you into the nearby wilderness in their car. The first thing you'll do there is visit a bear's hibernation site. Filip & Malin will tell you all about the brown bears from the local population. Afterwards, they will prepare an exclusive dinner for you over an open fire in their log cabin. The menu includes reindeer roasted in bacon with a "whey butter" chanterelle sauce, roast potatoes and lingonberry jam. For dessert, Filip & Malin will prepare the local Hälsingland cheesecake for you and serve it with cloudberry jam. After this traditional gourmet dinner, you will be escorted to the hide where you will spend 2 nights to have the best chance of a sighting. The chance of a brown bear sighting is around 90%, while various other species such as wolverines and rare bird species can also be spotted. All in all, a great opportunity to observe the wildlife of Scandinavia.
