1st tour (short) 4 hours
***Start at the Sonnblickbrücke parking lot and follow the forest path or the forest shortcuts to the Breitenebenalm. From there it is a leisurely walk along the forest path through fields and forests to the Karseggalm, the oldest hut in Salzburger Land.
Tip - stop off here for a bite to eat!
The second half of the tour takes you to the Maurachalm and on to St. Johann to the Gernkogel. On the way back you pass the reservoir and the Geisterberg. At the Gernkogel you can choose whether you want to take the gondola back down to the valley or return to the hotel on foot.
2nd tour (medium) approx. 4 hours
***The second half of the tour takes you in the direction of the Maurachalm back to St. Johann to the Gernkogel. On the way back to Alpendorf you pass the reservoir (oasis of peace) and the Geisterberg. At the Gernkogel you can decide whether to take the gondola down into the valley or return to the hotel on foot.
3rd tour (long) 5 hours
***From the Karseggalm, the path leads relatively directly in the direction of Kitzstein/Gabel. Shortly before the summit there is some steeper terrain to conquer - good footwear required!
After descending from the summit, the second half of the tour leads past the Maurachalm back to St. Johann to the Gernkogel. On the way back to Alpendorf, you will pass the reservoir and the Geisterberg.
