The Krimml Waterfalls are the highest waterfalls in Austria with a total drop height of 385 meters. They are located on the edge of the village of Krimml (Salzburg) in the Hohe Tauern National Park. They are formed by the Krimmler Ache river, which plunges down in three stages at the end of the high Krimmler Achental valley. The water then flows into the Salzach, continues along the Pinzgau towards Salzburg and flows into the Inn.
